Strengths and Barriers in Project Implementation
Skilled nursing facilities have a large proportion of elderly falls due to Alzheimer disease. Several programs have been developed to reduce the number of elderly accidents. Community, ethics, culture, and organization are examples of factors that facilitate program implementation. The project is, however, marred with many barriers, such as lack of support. This study seeks to identify potential strengths and barriers for the project implementation.
Community participation facilitates project implementation in several ways. Community development team (CDT) solve barriers related to project implementation (Gilissen, Pivodic, Smets, Gastmans, Vander, Deliens, and Van den Block 2017). CDT could increase the pace at which evidence-based practices are available to nursing practitioners in nursing homes. EBP helps nurses integrate the best research on Alzheimer’s diseases and ways to reduce patients’ fall with the disease with clinical expertise and patient values. The community also improves the relation between nurses and patients by encouraging the adoption of information and communication technology (ICT) in the facility. The technology will help improve communication between nursing practitioners and relevant caregivers in the facility.
Ethics play a vital role in any project implementation. Ethics enable the stakeholders, who are the patients and healthcare providers, to examine the beliefs and conduct to ensure that the facility helps live up to the reasonable values (Stavor, Zedreck and Hoffmann 2017). The organization needs to review the moral values and principles that are appropriate and acceptable in the facility.
Some factors pose challenges to project implementation. Lack of support from the health workers is a significant barrier to project implementation Tobiano, Bucknall, Sladdin, Whitty, and Chaboyer 2018). Lack of full application of evidence-based resources by nursing practitioners poses a serious barrier to implementing the project.
In conclusion, establishing a partnership with the community, client, and staff members improve the pace of project implementation. The legal ethics of clients, community, and health practitioners facilitate project development and operation. Barriers to project implementation need to be identified by project developers early to avoid failure of the proposal.

Question
As you design your program, it is important to anticipate potential issues related to program implementation. Careful forethought can help you to minimize unnecessary stumbling blocks during implementation.
There are strengths and barriers associated with every program. What do you see as the key factors to be aware of for your program? Brainstorm key terms such as community, culture, environment, organization, client, bias, and ethics. Give consideration to the factors you come up with (along with those in the Learning Resources) as you proceed with this Discussion.
To prepare:
Review the information presented in the Learning Resources. What are some of the factors (e.g., community, organization, environmental, ethical) that you consider strengths or facilitators for your program?
Which ones do you think may pose a challenge for your program?
How do these barriers need to be addressed in your program design? How might the strengths be leveraged to help overcome the barriers?
Post a cohesive scholarly response that addresses the following:
Analyze two or more community, client, organization, and/or environmental forces that may facilitate your program and two or more that may pose a challenge for your program.
Propose a strategy for addressing one of the barriers as a part of your program design.
Ask questions of your colleagues regarding how you might address the other challenge.
