Strategies for Addressing Questions
Healthcare is a huge field with direct personal satisfaction acquired through the delivery of service to humanity. However, specializing in a particular field comes with many questions that need addressing failure to which someone may obtain the license but fail to practice or enjoy the practice itself. This paper identifies some of the questions surrounding the advancement of registered nurses by acquiring MSN degrees.
The preliminary question revolves around the intensity of focus needed for the acquisition of skills. This is so because one may have other responsibilities and still feel the need to specialize. Someone with a family has a lot of things to handle from a social to an economic perspective. Therefore, it is important to know the degree of concentration needed for one to take part and succeed in the program. All healthcare courses tend to be tough, with the need for intense focus and mastery. This is because of the heed of elimination of errors during practice (Finkelman,2020). Knowing the level of intensity is beneficial to all individuals in need of pursuing an MSN degree.
The second question involves the reward scheme in terms of salaries and personal satisfaction. This helps one decide, especially if they rely on student loans as tuition payment schemes. Similarly, suppose the final career has extensive personal satisfaction. In that case, one is willing to make sacrifices to contribute positively to society and get the intrinsic joy of doing what they love besides supporting their families (Morris and Faulk, 2012).
The third question is whether specialization affects a person’s overall responsibilities in the workplace arena, e.g., is there independence of the nurses with MSN, can they also work on other medical cases, or are they limited to what they have specialized? Can they have multiple careers, e.g., practicing in hospitals, working in management, and health research? This helps one know the options they have once they decide to specialize.
The fourth question is, in the current year and several decades to come, is having an MSN degree make someone more marketable for employability, or it just supplements one education? In other words, is it necessary to acquire the degree, or can someone work as an RN and still attain the privileges of that person with an MSN degree? Similarly, if the degree puts one at a better edge, how long can we postulate its viability, and does one need to proceed and get a Ph.D., or is this just enough?
Finally, how effective is the existing support group and resources in ensuring an individual’s success in acquiring the degree? Is it necessary to go the extra mile of building external networks to assure employability after the degree? Are the available resources up to date, or do one need to do personal database checks? This helps one attain the confidence of succeeding in the course and mastering concepts in the degree program (Christenbery, 2018; Yoder-wise,2019).
All these questions are necessary for determining the institution’s preparedness in ensuring the students’ success, the likelihood of eventual satisfaction of the students, the level of preparedness, and expectations from the program. It also demonstrates the support system available within the institution and available networks.
The best strategy to address this question includes using the local library, academic tutors’ assistance, and online platforms with individuals already practicing with their MSN degrees. The local library will answer all the questions and provide more information during the academic sessions. This will be through the access of scholarly books, journals, nursing articles, and newspapers that provide in-depth insight (Morris and Faulk, 2012). The utilization of tutors provided by the institution and other private tutors helps one learn more about the degree and help handle difficult situations through one-on-one interactions and clarification of concepts. The utilization of online platforms helps create a network where one can learn new concepts and interact with people to understand their marketability (Christenbery, 2018). This helps build one’s confidence and maintain knowledge relevance. It is also vital to talk to other students through open discussions. Not only will this create a social connection, but also allow someone to get the information they could not access through discussions.

In Module 1, you began building a foundation for your success by considering a network-individuals and teams who can help you to clarify and execute on the vision. A network is most helpful when you are comfortable asking questions. Chances are other members of your network have experienced similar questions and may have helped guide others toward resolutions that can now be helpful.
In this Discussion, focus on the questions you are ready to ask as your journey begins. Keep in mind that sharing questions is often a great way to help others who have similar questions even if they do not realize it!

Consider the individuals, teams, and departments you previously considered in Module 1 as well as how they may provide support with addressing these questions and concerns.
