Why you chose this article and/or how it relates to the clinical issue of interest (include a brief explanation of the ethics of research related to your clinical issue of interest) I selected the article because it presents the treatment of anxiety and depression which is my clinical issue of interest. The measures taken to ensure ethical consideration of the study was that the research embraced a competent and trained researcher who understands the rights of people with anxiety. I chose the article because it explains why certain mental disorders occur more often than others to specific people.
The ethics of the research considered the psychological and social consequences of people under study. Participants’ interest was favored over the research concentration. I picked this particular article because it analyzes anxiety treatment of the elderly population.
Selection of participants in the research consisted of appropriate sampling of participants based on depression problem being studied rather than individuals that are readily available or easily manipulated. I settled on the article because it discusses the treatment of children with PSTD using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
The research obtained informed consent from parents’ guardians of the children under study. This is because children have no full decision making capacity. Resistant and very ill children cases were not performed. without anesthesia.
Brief description of the aims of the research of each peer-reviewed article The aim of the research is to analyze the relation between patients with personality difficulties with anxiety. The article aims to identify psychiatric disorders as complex networks of interacting symptoms.
The research purposed to combine published trials evaluating efficacy, safety and cost-effectiveness of psychological treatment of depression in the elderly and to assess the quality of evidence. The main aim of the research is to identify effective mechanism of action used to treat children with post-traumatic stress disorders.
Brief description of the research methodology used Be sure to identify if the methodology used was qualitative, quantitative, or a mixed-methods approach. Be specific. Qualitative data was used. 3689 adults who accessed psychological treatment were used as samples.

Quantitative method was used to assess the different symptoms of psychiatric disorders. The study was carried out between 2006 and 2016. The study was divided into three themes; comorbidity, prediction and clinical intervention. The research adopted quantitative method of data collection. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of psychological treatment of aged population was conducted. Fourteen relevant RCTs were identified to evaluate problem-solving therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy and reminiscence therapy Both qualitative and quantitative methods was used in the research. Twenty-nine youth aged between eight and seventeen years with PTSD were randomly allocated to Cognitive Therapy for PTSD.
A brief description of the strengths of each of the research methodologies used, including reliability and validity of how the methodology was applied in each of the peer-reviewed articles you selected. Qualitative methodology provided reliable data of the effectiveness of anxiety disorder symptoms of the sample group.
The validity of the research was observed by ensuring that the study measured the exact intension of the study.
Qualitative research methodology provided alternative explanation of the interaction of psychological symptoms by comparing past scientific researches.
The research methodology is reliable because the article is methodologically sound and other researchers rely on the findings.
Quantitative methodology provided multiple methods of for gathering sensitive data. The quality of the evidence was graded according to GRADE.
The research gave reliable results because procedural steps were taken to guarantee the research’s findings are the results of experiences of the informants, the elderly and the findings arrived by considering genuine evidence. Participants were instructed not to disclose their treatment status to the assessor. Blind raters were asked to guess allocation at the end of the interview.
The research was made transferable to other different but similar mental issues affecting children. The findings in the research was compared and considered within broader context of other children mental illness conducted in other different environments.
General Notes/Comments Patients with personality difficulties are less likely to respond to psychological treatment for depression/anxiety disorder. If replicated, the article highlights a major challenge to the way community-based psychological therapy services are presently constituted.

Psychological disorders are viewed as a system of interacting symptoms. Mental disorders as a network of problem approach offers a
model that captures both complexity and individual variation in psychopathology. Psychological treatment is a viable alternative for people aged 65 years and over. PST is the recommended treatment for elderly patients with depressive symptoms. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in children is influenced by trauma exposure in childhoods of minors.

Question
Review the Resources and identify a clinical issue of interest that can form the basis of a clinical inquiry. Keep in mind that the clinical issue you identify for your research will stay the same for the entire course.
Based on the clinical issue of interest and using keywords related to the clinical issue of interest, search at least four different databases in the Walden Library to identify at least four relevant peer-reviewed articles related to your clinical issue of interest. You should not be using systematic reviews for this assignment, select original research articles.
Review the results of your peer-reviewed research and reflect on the process of using an unfiltered database to search for peer-reviewed research.
Reflect on the types of research methodologies contained in the four relevant peer-reviewed articles you selected.
Part 1: Identifying Research Methodologies

After reading each of the four peer-reviewed articles you selected, use the Matrix Worksheet template to analyze the methodologies applied in each of the four peer-reviewed articles. Your analysis should include the following:

The full citation of each peer-reviewed article in APA format.
A brief (1-paragraph) statement explaining why you chose this peer-reviewed article and/or how it relates to your clinical issue of interest, including a brief explanation of the ethics of research related to your clinical issue of interest.
A brief (1-2 paragraph) description of the aims of the research of each peer-reviewed article.
A brief (1-2 paragraph) description of the research methodology used. Be sure to identify if the methodology used was qualitative, quantitative, or a mixed-methods approach. Be specific.
A brief (1- to 2-paragraph) description of the strengths of each of the research methodologies used, including reliability and validity of how the methodology was applied in each of the peer-reviewed articles you selected.
