I reviewed a research paper that covered a qualitative study done on Dutch nurses that was inspired by other various studies on the matter of evaluating the patient quality care experience (Kieft, de Brouwer, Francke, & Delnoij, 2014). It is important to note that the study group was small and consisted of four focus groups containing 26 registered nurses who worked in the fields of hospital care, mental health care, nursing home care, and home care (Kieft et al., 2014). At the end of the study, the researchers noted that though more research would need to be completed on this matter—especially considering that only four areas of the health care environment were reviewed—the data being collected still became redundant and gave confidence to the researchers that data saturation had been reached (Kieft et al., 2014).
