Part A:
For this week’s Part A assignment, assume that you have been asked by a local mental health center to offer a training seminar for its beginning group leaders on one of the therapeutic approaches covered in this week’s reading (see Chapters 6-10 in Corey, 2016). The topic of the session should be group stages and leader responsibilities.
Using a PowerPoint presentation, you are expected to provide an overview of group approaches, and the related tasks and behaviors of the leader in each approach. Pay special attention to the special challenges the beginning group leader might face in each stage and ethical considerations. Include one training exercise in which the group can participate. Support your seminar PowerPoint with at least five research articles published in peer-reviewed journals in the past five years. Slides should be succinct and not full of narrative. You are encouraged to use titles for your slides and bullet points to reveal the key areas that will be covered. Also, please be sure to use neutral, but engaging imagery in the slides (helping to be engaging with your audience). Be sure to cite studies in your slides to support where research is used. Speaker notes should be concise to reflect the in-depth areas you intend to cover associated with the points on each slide.
Length: 7 slides, not including the title and reference slides Speaker notes should be between 250-500 words.

Examine the therapy approaches reviewed during this week’s readings. Select one approach, and then identify a population that might find this method to be useful as a therapeutic intervention, and then explain why.
